On 3 August 2026, H.E. Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Ambassador of Thailand to the Lao PDR, presided over a merit-making ceremony on the occasion of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother's Birthday and National Mother's Day of Thailand at Ong Teu Mahawihan Temple. Also presented at the ceremony were officials of the Royal Thai Embassy in Vientiane, and members of Team Thailand, and their spouses.

On this occasion, the programme comprised the offering of monastic requisites and Buddhist chanting. The ceremony was conducted by monks from Ong Teu Mahawihan Temple and was respectfully dedicated as a royal merit offering to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother.
