Ambassador Welcomes Pol. Maj. Gen. Nanthachart Supamongkol, Vice Minister of Natural Resources and Environment   On 25 June 2026, H.E. Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Ambassador of Thailand to the Lao PDR, welcomed Pol. Maj. Gen. Nanthachart Supamongkol, Vice Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, during his visit to the Lao PDR to attend the 14th Meeting of the Sub-Regional Ministerial Steering Committee (MSC Mekong) on Transboundary Haze Pollution in the Mekong Sub-Region. During the MSC Meeting, the Thai delegation reaffirmed Thailand's position on extending the implementation framework of the Chiang Rai Action Plan 2017 through 2030, in line with the Second ASEAN Haze-Free Roadmap (2023–2030). Thailand also proposed a review of the Hotspot Reduction Targets for the 2026–2030 period to ensure that cooperation in the Greater Mekong Subregion delivers tangible outcomes and effectively addresses emerging challenges.
