Ms. Jirusaya Birananda, Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of the Royal Thai Embassy in Vientiane, together with Team Thailand, officials of the Royal Thai Embassy in Vientiane and spouses, organised the following ceremonies to commemorate the centennial anniversaries of the passing of His Majesty King Vajiravudh (Rama VI) on 25 November 2025 and the birth of Her Royal Highness Princess Bejaratana Rajasuda, Princess of Nakhon Pathom on 24 November 2025;
1. Alms Giving Ceremony
Chargé d'Affaires together with Team Thailand, officials of the Royal Thai Embassy and spouses offered alms to 9 Buddhist monks at the Residence of the Thai Ambassador. The alms giving ceremony was presided over by Venerable Phouangprasert Poumavong, the Abbot of Ong Teu Voramahawihan Temple and the Director of Ong Teu Sangha College.
2. Ceremony to Commemorate the Centennial Anniversary of the Birth of Her Royal Highness Princess Bejaratana Rajasuda, Princess of Nakhon Pathom
Chargé d'Affaires led Team Thailand, officials of the Royal Thai Embassy and spouses in a ceremony to commemorate Her Royal Highness Princess Bejaratana Rajasuda, Princess of Nakhon Pathom . The ceremony includes paying respect and laying a floral tribute in Her Royal Highness’s honour.
3. Ceremony to Commemorate the Centennial Anniversary of the Passing of His Majesty King Vajiravudh (Rama VI)
Chargé d'Affaires led Team Thailand, officials of the Royal Thai Embassy and spouses in a ceremony to commemorate His Majesty King Vajiravudh (Rama VI). The ceremony included paying respect and wreath-laying ceremony in remembrance of His Majesty’s benevolence and enduring legacy.
4. Activity of the Royal Thai Volunteers Chargé d'Affaires together with Team Thailand, officials of the Royal Thai Embassy and spouses organised an activity of the Royal Thai Volunteers by providing essential goods to the Cancer Center Lao PDR to support the Center’s mission to provide cancer treatment in the Lao PDR. Dr. Phouttasone Phommachanh, Director of the Cancer Center Lao PDR, welcomed the Royal Thai Volunteers and expressed her appreciation. On this occasion, PTT (Lao) Co., Ltd. also contributed 15 blankets in support of the activity.
