On 12 December 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Vientiane organised a merit-making ceremony on the 50th day following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother, at Ong Teu Mahawihan Temple. Ms. Jirusaya Birananda, Chargé d’Affaires a.i., together with Team Thailand and officials of the Embassy and spouses, as well as members of the Thai and Lao communities attended the ceremony.
