On 25 May 2026, H.E. Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Ambassador of Thailand to the Lao PDR, welcomed Mr. Thongsanith Phanphengdy, Deputy Director-General of Young Pioneer Department of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Union (LPRYU), at the Royal Thai Embassy in Vientiane. On this occasion, the Deputy Director-General expressed appreciation to the Embassy for the support in providing food, snacks, and beverages worth approximately 40,000 baht to the LPRYU for activities commemorating International Children’s Day and National Tree Planting Day 2026. The activities are scheduled to take place on 29 May 2026 at Viengkham Primary School in Sikhottabong District, Vientiane Capital, which is among schools affected by the hailstorm that struck Vientiane Capital in March 2026.
