On 4 July 2025, H.E. Ms. Morakot Sriswasdi, Ambassador of Thailand to the Lao PDR, on behalf of Royal Thai Embassy, Vientiane, presented a financial contribution of 50,000 baht to Saysettha Football Club, a member of the Lao Football Federation. The contribution is intended to support the organization of “Saysettha Tournament 2025”, Thai-Lao friendship football tournament, scheduled to take place on Saturday, 12 July 2025, at the New Arina and Victory Stadiums in Sisattanak District, Vientiane Capital. The tournament will feature 11 youth football teams from Thailand and 13 youth football teams from the Lao PDR, with approximately 200–300 players in total. It will be divided into three age categories: U10, U12, and U14. The financial contribution was received, on behalf of the club, by Mr. Saysettha Khamviengnam, President of Saysettha Football Club, along with representatives of athletes and parents.

 

This support is part of the celebration of the 75th Anniversary of Thailand-Laos PDR Diplomatic Relations. It aims to inspire and promote healthy lifestyles, team spirit, and sportsmanship among young people both in Thailand and the Lao PDR.
